Engineer on a concrete wave
I’ve just returned from a 5-day corporate photography and industrial photography shoot for Hyder Consulting, an international engineering company. The brief was quite tight and required shoots in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland for their corporate website and brochures.
This photograph was taken at the Wave apartments, Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and shows an engineer inspecting the balconies of the apartment building. The brief called for clear skies in the shots, but on this day, it wasn’t going to happen. I had to improvise a bit as it had been raining all morning and the sky was very overcast. I shot from the pool area, looking up, using the wavy balconies as a background. The result is an engineer looking for the next break in a giant concrete swell.
