On 1 July I was honoured to be awarded the 2019 AIPP NSW Commercial Photographer of the Year. It is the third year in a row that I have won the award.
The Australia Institute of Professional Photography run professional photography awards in all Australian states and territories, attracting over three thousand entries from professional photographers. Photographers can enter up to four prints in a category and each print is presented anonymously to a panel of five judges who give scores. An aggregate of 80+ is a Silver while 90+ earns a Gold award. Less than 3 per cent earn Gold. The highest three portfolios of four prints are then re-assessed to determine the category winner.
This year, two of my prints scored Gold and two scored Silver.
